January 5, 200521 yr As a general rule, it's wise to only go for a 10% increase in 10mhz steps...thus, you should look to maybe around a 550mhz core/660mhz memory max.As with all things PC, everycard is different and has different tolerances! You may not reach those levels, yet I've read reviews at Guru3d, and at (H)ardOCP where 600mhz stable has been squeezed out of the core!!Use a tool such as ATItool (available from the downloads section at www.Guru3d.com ) to perform the overclock. This is a good one to use as it gives a 3d display in real-time to allow you to see if any ill-effects are happening! What kind of performance are you getting now from your 9600XT? From reports, it should be doing pretty well in FS9
January 5, 200521 yr Author Right now in with my card, in FS9.1, i can get 30. Give or take a few. But what i have seen, i can mainly get 30. Chase Barnett
