Graphics cards for dual monitors

Featured Replies

HiI need some help. I have two flat monitors on order from Dell (they were cheap via work) so I need to get a graphic card for dual monitors.I have a Dell Dimension 8200 P4 2.4 1GB Ram AGPx4 and 400FSB and I am running a GeForce 3 Ti 500 64mb. FS2004 is OK but gets a bit clonky round the airports with PMDG737 running. What I need is the best Graphic card for my system - ie I can get an ATI Radeon X800 XTPE 256mb, but I suspect I will be saddling a great card with an average system by todays standards - or am I wrong?.Any thoughts would be welcomeStephen

You having a average system isnt going to bug that card any. It could care less, its still going to fly. With your system, expect high detail, and smooth frames! :-jumpy. I have the 9600XT 128MB and it get a little choppy at times, around 15FPS or so, around big airports, but this is my first ATI card, and i love it. If it was up to me, id be running that X800. I had the chance to get it but it would of been in a compaq from compusa, with just the card. Didnt do it, and had a custom pc made, see specs below. But on the other hand, i dont see why that card wont work fine with your system. People with 2.4 P4 are buying that card with out a problem. From my knowledge, that would be a great card for you. Fast graphics, and over all, is one of the best.
