FS2K4 Problems

Featured Replies

Well just as I've finally found a good plane (DF 727) with which to use FS2K4, now I've discovered a problem. For some reason, in the middle of a flight, not just while I'm using the new 727 plane, but for any plane, for some reason during the middle of a flight, without warning, my computer screen will just go blank, and my computer will restart iteself. I noticed this happen a few times before I purchased the DF 727, so I know its not the new software. When it happened before, I just figured the little bug would go away when I restored my computer, and reloaded all my stuff. But apparantly not.I am running Windows XP Home Edition. The computer restart problem only occurs when I'm playing FS2K4, no other game, not even FS2K2. Anyone have any idea what in the world could be going on here?]Thanks in advance.

overheating? FS9 may be just pushing the sytem over the edge and it is shuttingitself down to avoid damage. also if your power supply is marginal it may do the same. the fact that you reinstalled everything points more to a hardware rather than software problem.
