March 31, 200521 yr I've got a marginal machine for gaming, but I've been pleased with FS2002 with the sliders set lower. (Celeron 2.4mhz; 512k ram; Intel built-in graphics)Two questions:1) Is it true that I won't see a decrease in performance with FS2004 assuming similar settings?2) Can anyone recommend a graphics card? I am NOT a hardcore gamer, and would only use it for FS. I would like something that will improve performance, but don't want to spend much money. I was hoping to spend around $75, although that may be unrealistic. I just don't spend enough time playing games to justify spending much more - especially when new computers can be had for $500! Is it worth it at that price point? Or do I really have to spend $150 and up to make a worthwhile difference? Thanks for your help.
April 1, 200521 yr FS9 on those settings would run lower than 2k2 that you have now. If you upgrade your ram, you should see a little bit quicker performance. The vid card in FS9 would increase detail of the picture and give you some more frames. If your under 100$, go with the 9200 128MB. Id reccomend the FX5900 or the ATI9600XT that i run and am happy with it. I plan to go to the X800 this year though.. :) Chase Barnett
