For most people nowadays I would just recommend ATuner rather than Riva Tuner. The former is much simpler in terms of available settings and it is much harder to break something than when using Riva Tuner. The only settings most people should need to worry about are AA, AF and LOD settings and these are the only image quality settings that aTuner lets you play with.

I saw a post some time ago, something about tweaking the fs2002.cfg file. Sadly i can't find it anymore since the search won't go earlier than january. It said that it resolves the shimmering thing completely, yet taxes the memory, thus is not recommended unless you have a min. 512MB RAM.Now, does anyone know what this was?I increased the MEM on my system last week and i would like to give it a try.

News UpdateGuys, sorry to be a little slow to respond but were fixed! I have worked through all your suggestions including level 30.00 drivers, aTuner, G4Ti4200 not overclocked etc and then I simply deleted the cfg file and restarted with all basic settings - very painful. The reason I have not reponded before is that I have been flying, not tweaking, for the last 29 hours...YEAH! I have now tweaked everything back to where it was and still no lock ups!A big thanks therefore to all you out there who have helped, what a brilliant forum this is!Bobfrom the Isle of Wight -where the sun is now shining!
