I use my Electolux Vacuum cleaner with that big brush end. First I change the bag so I get maximum airflow. Always keep one hand on the metal case. I also use a wet wash cloth. Don't scrub. Just wipe. I never unplug the cord. That's the ground. Never had a problem. Just use common sense. Computers are tough. Canned air just makes a mess of the room and desk.Moral of the story, don't be afraid. And don't clean it till it gets dirty.

Throttleup I know exactly how you feel, I wanted to essentially rebuild my downstairs computer, but knew little about high quality components - not a good mix. So after probably 50 hrs of research I am currently waiting on my Vid card, the last major component I will be recieving. Now to actually help you. Here are some linkswww.newegg.com - great prices, and costumer reviewswww.tomshardware.com - great articles very useful. Now for the actual do hicky, depending on your budget theres different levels. I went all out and bought a X800 XT PCIE for 375. If thats out of your range you can Try a X700, maybe a 9800 Pro. (BTW all these are ATI) I am not sure about Nvidia, I didn't really consider it much, heard better things about Ati (plus the name is cooler X800 XT vs Geforce 6800 GT :D ) It sounds like your PC is somewhat older so I am sure you still have AGP but the question is 4x/8x, newer Mobos have 8x some older still have 4x. When buying the card check your Mobo to see if it is PCIE or AGP, it is probably AGP but you never know, and make sure the card is AGP!Hope I helped you!

Moviedirector20-Thanks for the advice dude :) Im checking out that tomshardware site...looks very detailed! My computer is 7 months old, got it brand new last year :) One of the entries in the spec sheet is:128MB PCI Express ATI Radeon TM X300 SESo I guess I have the PCIE! *Yay* I hope its not too hard to fit the vidcard in, gonna take a lot of head-down time before I make a decision!

PCIE is good, right now it performs about the same as AGP but in a year AGP will essentially be gone and PCIE will rein. What is your budget for the vid card?
