FS slow while on ground but smooth in the air???? help!

I recently reinstalled Windows XP Pro and FS9. After using Jim's optimization guide, FS is nice and smooth in the air. But on the ground, it's like watching a very slow slide show. No matter what plane (stock or addon) I use, it's not smooth when taxiing, on the runway, etc.. it's very very jerky. I have a Athlon XP 2400+ overclocked to 2.1ghz and the ATI Radeon 9600 Pro vc using the 5.1 cat drivers. Just wondering why it would do this or what can I change?thanksAlanKCOS TRACON (the real thing)
