May 31, 200521 yr any ideas as to why i cant startup in normalmode, it just goes black after the startup screen saying winxp64. Is it a driver im missing, i cant install the ati 64 bit drivers for some reason in safemode, i get an errormessage saying not compatible with hardware.
May 31, 200521 yr I know some boards have native SATA support but I do not think Dell does, though I could be wrong, you need to have 64BIT drivers that support SATA to work correctly.
June 1, 200521 yr Author No they dont have native support for SATA, but everything works now, strange thing was that i had to turn off H/T before i could get XP64 to start up, but H/T is back on with no probs now. There was no Dell 64 bit drivers available for my OEM audigy 2 zs, so i had to shell out 80$ for a new soundcard *sigh*.So now im off to install all my games and problably more frustration :D .PS the nice XPS support guy knew nothing about xp64 and was convinced that there should be no probs using the old sounddrivers from the CD :-roll.OHN
June 1, 200521 yr There are 64BIT drivers for the Audigy 2 ZS, doesn't matter that its OEM.http://preview.creativelabs.com/default.aspx
