Multiple monitor setup

Featured Replies

Hi all,I have an PCI-E Asus GE6800 with two monitors connected to it. When using dual view mode in the video driver, I can open a second FS window, in 3D mode. But here are really bad artifacts on both screens, sometimes covering more than half of the screen area.Any ideas where that might come from? I use latest drivers. Also, I could not figgure out how to change the angle of view on the second monitor. Just "view left" or "front left" doesn't do it for me, it is not precise enough...Any comments appreciated!Hans

Does it look anything like this?:http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/2...displya-13.htmlIf so, overheating may be the issue. Try running with the case cover off and preferably a room fan blowing towards your graphics card and see if it goes away. If it doesn't make any difference, try an older driver.Re changing the angle of view on the second monitor, click on the secondary window to give it the focus then press the num pad keys to get what ever view you want, then WHILE STILL HOLDING DOWN the num pad key you chose to select your view click back on the primary window. The secondary view will stay on what you left it on.Gary

Gary:absoloutly yes, this is how it looked, only much worse...! I will check the temperature of the GPU next time I make tests. If it really is overheating, I don't know what to do, because I already have several fans in my case, and the temperature inside seems to be ok - my Athlon 64 - 3.500+ never gets hotter than 34 Deg.!Thanks anyway for the hint, also for the tip about the change of view on the 2nd monitor.Hans
