Black Screen

Featured Replies

I think I may have lost my video card. When I started the computer today, nothing but black screen. Restarted in safe mode and have video. When I start in safe mode is the computer using on board video, and is this an indication that i need a new video card?

Mac; I think what normaly happens in "Safe" mode is windows resorts toa generic VGA driver for the video, so maybe its just a sofware issue. You could try last known good configuration or going back to a restorepoint...if you have XP. Hope you get it sorted out. DennyProfessional Tourist

Thanks Denny, got it sorted out, well I should say it sorted itself out. Came home from work today and my daughter had my computer on with no problems, go figure:-)
