I'm currently running a P4 2.4 533 FSB with 1 GB Ram and a PNY GeForce FX 5200 128mb card and have been thinking about upgrading to a GeForce 6600 GT 256 mb card. Will I see any performance improvement and is it worth the $$$$. I am not ready to upgrade the MOBO or processor at this time and would like to remain with the same system for at least another year. Answered my own question. Purchased a GeForce 6600 GT 256 mb card, installed, saw no difference that can justify the price. Returned it.
