What Driver to use??

Featured Replies

Ok, I have finally upgraded to XP PRO form Win2000 after all these years. I am having problems with Flight Enviroments clouds now after I put on the 77.72 drivers. It's literally a slide show, and when I clear the weather all runs smooth. I've done just about all the XP tweaking stuff on this board with no luck. The only reason I have the 77.72 drivers on is because I play Battlefield 2 and it kept asking for them so I put them on. Any suggestions here?? What's everybody else using??Thanks :)

I am going to bump this up.But, since I posted this, I've tried 3 different drivers. 61.77 (Which I used in 2000 with much success), 66.93 and the 77.72. I uninstalled Flight Enviroment, I uninstalled Ultimate terrain. Using now Chris Willis's clouds that come with Active Sky V. Something with the clouds is now just killing my performance. As soon as the clouds load I go from 20FPS locked to 5-8 FPS. It's not a driver issue, that's for sure. But I don;t know what is causing this problem.I've done just about all the tweaks in the forum to XP. What the heck is causing this???? I'm frustrated now, please give some new ideas.

Have you installed MOBO drivers? If not that would be a big problem right there.

Yes, one of the first things I did after I got XP loaded.
