Hi all,Does anyone here with 6600 or 6800 have problems with shimmering textures in FS9? Shimmering, as in - straight edges are not fully smoothed and moving around causes a shimmering effect (somewhat like heat waves rising from the ground). Increasing the resolution seems to have reduced this effect but not cured completely.Here is my current setup:Drivers (77.76 beta) - AA=4x, AF=8X, IQ=High Quality, VSync=ONGame - Res=1152x864x32; Render to Texture; Transform & Lighting; Filtering=Trilinear; Mips=4; Lights=8; Global Tex=Massive.I've tried almost all verions of drivers from 66.93 to 80.40, betas, modified et al. Still can't get rid of this shimmer even with full AAxAF.Any help will be greatly appreciated,Thanks in advance,Keith

Try the supersample AA modes, eg. 4xS, 6xS, 8xS. You may need to install RiverTuner to unlock these modes. I'm running at 8xS, 16xAF at the moment and shimmering is minimal.Gary

Thanks. I've changed AA/AF to 8S/16x. The shimmer is still there although slightly reduced. I may keep these settings depending on performance impact. Thanks again,Keith

I have a 128mb Palit 6600GT pciexpress and something looks wrong.The ground textures and the water textures are looking too much pixelated I am not sure if it is what it is supposed to be.For example here's a ground example :http://virtual.planepictures.net/show.cgi?82931And this is a water example(I have FsWater installed) :http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/9629/water1wk.jpgAnd I can't get big shining effects on the water also.Is this the way it should be or something is wrong?I see many screenshots and they have wonderful water and ground textures.
