September 12, 200520 yr Simple answer: No, you can't remove the fan as it will fry your GPU. However, there are 3rd party fans available that you might be able to install.Hope this helps.
September 14, 200520 yr Author Well I remedied the situation by replacing the fan and heat sink with a better copper one w/fan, an ICEBERG4very recommended and easy to install with some hints from the store tech.And...I seem to have a bit of an increase in fps? or am I dreaming, and more stable performance to boot...?allen
