Scratch Built Blazing Gaming System!

Featured Replies

Well, I decided to splurge on a new gaming system. While at the computer store looking at the pre-built desktops to run FS2004 and other programs I thought, heck I should build my very own Blazing Gaming System! So after gathering all the necessary parts to build my system, here is what I purchased! Let me know what you guys think! Processor - AMD Athlon 64 3500 with Hyper Threading Technology.MotherBoard - DFI Lan Party UT w/Nvidia Nforce & Nvidia SLI ReadyPower Supply - MadDog SurePower 500wGraphics Card - Nvidia Gforce 7800GT 256mbMemory - 1gig of DDR-SDRAMHard Drive - Hitachi 160gig 7200rpm SATAExternal Hard Drive - Western Digital 100gigSony DVD RW/R +/- Dual & Double Layer ThermalTake Shark Case keeping it all together!Thats all of it, I think??? I should be set for MSFS2006 when the time comes... If not, guess I will need to upgrade. Comments always welcome!Safe Flying, airbus_flyboy

Good choice, however Hyper Threading Technology does not exist on AMD CPU's. I think what you mean is Hyper Transport.

I would recommend the Antec NEO-power 480 for your PSU. Also check out this site for building your system to your liking. They seem to have great prices and can put together almost any thing you want.http://www.monarchcomputer.comKilstormOops! Sorry didn't read you already brought it. Well how does it run?

Kilsorm,Thnx for the suggestion on the psu. Computer is running great so far.. no probs... frame rates are in the 40's. Smooth flying, great graphics etc... airbus_flyboy
