November 1, 200520 yr I am experiencing a video problems with heavy flashing of objects and making FS9 impossible to use. I don't know what happened. It was working O.K. and the next thing when calling up FS9 it started. I'm using an ATI x800 XL AGP type, WIX XP SP2, ASUS P4P800-E, P4-3.4 EE CPU, 1g Corsairs Twin PC4400. I had been using all PMDG, FE, UT, UT Terrain, and just about all the addon sceneries. When I started getting the flashes and could not get rid of them I decided to delete the entire FS9, Reformat and install a fresh FS9. After cleaning all the graphic drivers I installed the latest Catalyst 5.10. And to my suprise the flashes still there. My graphics card appear to be working O.K - just can't get rid of flashes. I'm at a loss to find solution. Any ideas from anyone?Wilbert Wilbert
November 2, 200520 yr Author Thanks for responding>My AA is set at 4X and AF is at 8X. Mip at High performance. These were my settings before things went berserk. I have these objects constantly moving around in no particular pattern.Wilbert Wilbert
November 2, 200520 yr KK Just making sure. Also make sure then that in your FS the AA is shut off. Graphics card should override but still, I have had wird things happen where my settings get changed randomly. Also I had an issue with my ATI card just before I switched to nvidia. I started seeig flashes light that then eventually lots of "garbage". Turned out I fried the core processor on my graphics card :-( Was an ATI 9800 Pro. Now I use a 6800 Ulta GT from PNY that rocks.Sorry i cant help further, but that sounds tho9ugh exactly how my graphics acted when I fried my card. Only happened in games, too.
November 2, 200520 yr Author Is there some way I can test this card to be sure that it and all of its components are working properly?Wilbert Wilbert
November 2, 200520 yr That I am not sure. I would contact ATI support ont hat issue. Been over a year and a half since I had ATI.
November 2, 200520 yr Author I'm going to do that and thanks again for your help and concern.Wilbert Wilbert
