November 15, 200520 yr Dude, you will have to specify more clearly what your problem is. You know, we can't read minds!
November 15, 200520 yr Author I'm sorry but I thought I had included some pictures - I guess they were not accepted. I'm have some large & small blocks, triangle, rectangles, and lines continuously flashing all over the place regardless of my location. These objects are constantly moving in all directions in 2d and virtual views. They are everywhere except on the cockpit. They are all in the outside views. I have no idea of how/when they started and I cannot get rid of them.Wilbert Wilbert
November 15, 200520 yr Author On rechecking again these flashes appear everywhere (including in the cockpit except on the forward 2d panel. Wilbert
November 16, 200520 yr Sounds/looks like your video card drivers were not properly installed. Recommend you uninstall/reinstall using the guide at the following site: http://www.tweakguides.com/ATICAT_1.html.Jim
November 16, 200520 yr I see you're running an ATI card. I have the x850xt pe and when I turn on the Adaptive Anti-aliasing, I get flashing polygons around some of the airports.Paul
November 17, 200520 yr I can confirm it is the adaptive anti-aliasing.I have two machines, one with a Radeon 9800XT, which works better with the Cat 5.1's than the newer drivers, and doesn't like doing adaptive AA.The other machine has an X850XT, and I started noticing the same effects when I enabled Adaptive AA. It seems to be worst when there are a lot of aircraft (mainly AI) textures loaded into the memory of the video card (ie tends to happen in busy traffic areas). Switch the Adaptive AA off and it will disappear, but your trees will start shimmering again. The new 5.11 drivers from ATI seem to offer some improvement over the 5.9 and 5.10's (which were the first to enable Adaptive AA) but do not yet offer a complete fix.RegardsRob
