November 19, 200520 yr I am building a new box mid december for fs and I am wondering if I will be able to run the sim no problem with full sliders and heavy ai. I do plan on running extra airport scenery and complex aircraft such as the pmdg 73 and DF 72 and plan on doing a lot of vc flying (trackir user :D). The box will consist of:AMD64 3700+2 gigs of pc3200 ram (cas latency 2.5)x850xt pe I am just wondering if fs will still be a slide show under those settings and how well it will run when some AA and AS are thrown into the mix. Also, if there are any fs2k4 benchmarks out there could you please direct me toward them? Thanks.
November 22, 200520 yr Try this link, found it on another post, can't rember which one.I am looking to upgrade my rig too, Though I can't decide between single core 4000+ or X24400 dual, have a P4 2.4ghz now with 6800gt oc 256mb AGP card, have read so many diffren't opinions that it's kind of confusing. Good luck with yours... HAKUhttp://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,1876715,00.asphttp://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?t=42361

November 23, 200520 yr Note that dual core will do nothing for FS 2004 performance, but who knows for the next version?Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
