November 22, 200520 yr Hi,is there an impact on frame rate switching from 1024x768x16 to 1024x768x32 resolution inside FS? And should monitor have the same resolution as FS setting?ThanksFrancesco
November 23, 200520 yr Hi,You should always run at 32 bit color. Some say to run your desktop at the same resolution as FS04, but in Fullscreen mode I never understood the reason for it.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
November 23, 200520 yr is there an impact on frame rate switching from 1024x768x16 to 1024x768x32 resolution inside FS? And should monitor have the same resolution as FS setting?Very slightly, but probably not enough to worry about. The desktop does not have to be the same res as the FS. But mine often is. With the fx-5200, I ran 1078 most of the time, including the desktop. But with the 9800 AIW, I've bumpedup to 1600x1200 on both. In FS, with that card, there is little difference in res and fps. Some , but not much. The reason I went with the 1600 desktop is so I can watch TV, and still have plenty of work room. I use larger fonts, so they look about normal. I can set the TV to "full size"windowed screen size, and it still only takes up about 1/4 the screen. Sharp as a tack too...Looks like HDTV nearly...Like a little moving photograph. :) No real pixelation that you can see , even if you get right up on it. MK Mark Keith
