B 24J Liberator

Featured Replies

Hi,I've been enjoying this great a/c by Krzysztof Malinowski. There was some discussion about it not so long back but my searches have not yet been successful in turning up the thread.I'm wondering whether a custom panel and sound set have been created for the B 24J Liberator. A panel is supplied but no gauges, which can make it a little tricky to fly at times. Sounds are aliased to the f4u1a_corsair.One tip - to get this bird off the ground you do need to lean out the mixture a bit for full power. Listen to the engines as you slowly lean out. The note will rise initially and then rapidly fall off. Return the mixture lever to the optimum point.Looks great and feels realistically heavy and sluggish to control input once airborne. Makes an interesting and nice change from flying other more contemporary a/c.Mike :-wave

Panel: Look at simviation.com for the gauges under FS2002/Military. Note that there are also some excellent other panels about for the B-24. I have six others in my own fsfsconv folder.Sound: Look for Consolidated B-24 Bomber Soundpackage for CFS2/FS2000/FS2002 By Aaron R Swindle. 12/6/2001 (SkySong Soundworks).Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg
