January 2, 200620 yr So after spending the bulk of the last two days reading through post after post of "who has what latest and greatest", the following thoughts came to me.It is obvious that we are just now really coming to a place where the technology and resources are available to really really make FS9 Scream, the way we all dreamed it would and could in the beginning. Now, if we use FS98, (note, 98) as the benchmark, with all the current equipt, we could make that scream as well, but everything that we would have would be extreme overkill for that issue. As we now can start dreaming about FS10 just a few short months or so off, it is realistic to believe that it won't be until well into 2007 or 8 before we can really make that one dance as well. So, my goal for the next couple years, is to put together something that will really make FS9 cook to it's full potential. The question is... in terms of MoBo, Chip, and Graphics card, what is the general consensus in what is required to accomplish this? From what I am understanding, I am hearing the following..MoBo - something from ASUS in the A8N seriesChip - something around 3800+Graphics - anything from ATI X800 Pro and up. GEFORCE 6800 etc.Am I hearing this right?Any thoughts would be appreciated.Darryl

January 3, 200620 yr What is so good about the NForce4 chipset. My mobo has one. Also what are the best drivers for the X850XT? Brent Lewis
January 3, 200620 yr The NForce4 chipset is the most stable, fast and mature chipset around. You can read more about it in the nVidia community forums and at Tom's Hardware Guide.Pat
