Omega 3.8.205 (ATI 6.1) and ATI Tray Tools

Featured Replies

Omaga has already released his driver package based upon the ATI 6.1's. What interested me the most is a change that Ray Adams made to ATI Tray Tools. Specifically, he has added positive texture LOD. In the past all we ever had was 0 and negative LOD. While many folks would not want to use much positive LOD, having that capability now adds even more flexibilty to how each user configures his/her hardware and driver combo.More info here: http://www.driverheaven.net/showthread.php?t=96763Cheers,Greg

would this be helpful to people trying to get rid of blurry textures but not wanting to use the bug filled adaptive anti aliasing? i always use omega drivers, I will probably install these tomorrow

"would this be helpful to people trying to get rid of blurry textures..."This is entirely system dependant. There is so much that goes into "making" the blurries (both hardware and sim config). But being able to set positive tLOD in the drivers will certainly afford one the flexibilty of trying other driver configs to deal with the blurries. It's just another tool Omega and Ray Adams have made available.Greg

HiI decided to give these drivers a go. I am using AA and AF both on 2X, but have noticed my gauges are somewhat blurry, much more than the default drivers.Does anyone have some recommonded settings that i can get rid of this. Surely there is some way.PS using screen 1024 X 768 and 32BIT color.
