March 26, 200620 yr Hi again,I have finally solved the problem and have removed a software add-on that I received from Gateway. I bought their 21" LCD monitor. The free software add-on that I downloaded was called "EZmusic" or something like that. Anyways, I went into the Control Panel and clicked on the "Add/Remove" programs icon and got rid of it. Thank God....Everything is back to normal with 'No Stuttering".....What a relief...Thanks to all who have helped me narrow this seemingly persistant problem into the 'inert' arena..I don't think I will ever download any freeware software associated with hardware that you purchase. I think that the companies who give hardware producers this type of software actually subsidize the primary manufacturer of the hardware, and as a result, in the end, the seemingly unaware victim turns out to be the purchaser himself. Also, who knows what kind of computer generated keystroke information is being automatically divulged to the company, who in all probability, as I mentioned before, subsidizes the initial hdwre product, and is sold to, or utilized by them for future benefit or misuse.... Thanks again everybody for all your help.Regards, jack
