May 20, 200620 yr Hello,I'm trying to decide which multi monitor setup would be best for me and my FlightSim Hobby? I've done numerous searchs about the topic, but I'm still feeling unsure and under informed. At first, I was thinking of a 3 monitor setup for external views ( panorama ) and use my current 19" Samsung for panels display. I know I would need a second GPU. My system is a P4- 3.73EE 1066 FSB, 500 Gig Raid-0, 1Gig Pc-2 5300 Ram @ 667mhz. SLI MoBo, nVidia PCI-e 6800 GPU.Now I see widescreen format monitors are out, so I'm wondering if I can get the full external view by using 2 20.1" widescreen LCD's instaed of three 19", than use my current 19" as the panels display. I know I'd need another matching GPU so both new monitors would run in Digital display, but I'm still left wondering if there are some pitfalls to this idea, that I'm unaware of?I've seen the Matrox Triple Head To Go unit, but I'm not sure if that would work with just two widescreens, thus not requiring another GPU.Any feedback is greatly apprerciated. Thanxs.Cheers,Pierre.
June 17, 200619 yr I currently have 2 19" monitors and either will get the tripplehead to go and another monitor or one of the 30 " monitors. The problem with dual monitors for the main view is the bezel in the middle gets in the way when you are on final approach. I have found ways around that like slightly panning to left in the VC but it is not optimal.Regards, Carlos
June 30, 200619 yr Okay, got the triple head to go. Awesome much better than a single widescreen and no bezel in the middle like dual monitors. Very good performance even at maximum resolution 3840 x 1024.Regards, Carlos

And if they are digital output, did you notice any lose in image quality, after switching to the Matrox TH2G?I've come to realize, the TH2G seems to be the easiest way to run a tri-monitor setup, but I'm somewhat gunshy, as it's analog output! As things are now with my two Dell digital widescreens, the view and clarity is incredible! I'd hate to loose that going back to an analog output. Therefore, I've been on the fence hoping Matrox will come out with a digital output TH2G unit at some point in time.Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. :)Cheers,Pierre.
June 30, 200619 yr Hi, I have a very simular setup and the only thing I have a problem with is the 6800GPU it seems to hang when moving from monitor to monitor,so I guess I need to upgrade that.Good LuckTony
