New LCD Monitor

Featured Replies

Hello,I used a NEC FE991FE CRT Monitor for 3 years +, but a few month ago themonitor started causing problems. Anyway I decided to buy a ViewsonicVP930b 19" monitor last week. I haven't used it long enough to reach a verdict, also a mixed bag of satisfaction at this point. After I used the LCD a few days I had a off and on power outage, and now I see a message superimposed in the center of the screen that says: This computer is not authorized for use with this LCD display. Anyway the "theft deterrence"feature was driggered with the power outage. I have no idea how to clear the message. Contacted Viewsonic support, faxed them the sales bill and a case #. Two days later, I called them, they said they never received the fax, and I am to fax again. The frustration is amazing.Be aware!Anyone else with this problem???Helmut
