Need More Buttons

Featured Replies

Hi all,I have the CH Products Flight Sim Yoke USB and Rudder Pedals USB.The yoke has only so many buttons and I would like to have a few more to replace various keystrokes. I've thought of getting the CH Pro Throttle Quadrant just for the additional buttons, but that would be an expensive way to go for me. I've also considered a relatively inexpensive joystick just for the buttons, but I wonder if inadverdent slight twisting of the stick might interfere with rudder inputs from the pedals.Any suggestions would be appreciated, including specific hardware recommendations. Thanks,Sandy

Do you know that you can assign one button as a "Shift" button and then assign two functions (shifted and unshifted) to each of the other 11 buttons. I seem to recall that this can be done in the payware version of FSUIPC or the CH Control Manager for free. I've never done it but I've thought about it. R-

Hello fellow tester :-)Have you considered the GoFlight system? Although a whole console is expensive you can start with a minimum of a rack and one 6 button module. Further modules can be added as funds permit.I have 2 GFT6 modules (12 switches), 1 GFP6 (6 buttons), 2 GF-166 Nav/Com radio modules and the LGT (flaps and gear) module. It can sit either on your desk or at your side on top of a small table. It's a great way to go if you can justify the funds but it's most useful asset is it can be added to in slow time. The CH Throttle quadrant is quite expensive and only offers a few extra switches. I've had my GoFlight rack for a while now and wouldn't swap it for all the tea in China! :D

I love the CH throttle. it is 100 dollars but worth it to me. I can set it up with 4 throttles for flying a 747 or 1 for flying a cessna. plus I can push the throttles back and reverse the engines, and the other throttles I have setup as propeller and mixture. I dont recall the exact number but I think there are 8 switches below the throttles that you can assign buttons to each, so 16 total with one assignment for up and one for down on each switch
