HIIve upgraded to a ATI Radeon X1600PRO..Ive got the latest omega driver 3.8.273..however at the menus in FS9 I get some screen lightening and darkening not major but its there..also when I press ALT when in the FS world..it also is the same thing with FSC 7.71 when I connect to GPS..just looking at the AVSIM search this seems to have been a problem with radeon drivers for years (threads back to 03)is there a better driver..or just live with it...will it damage my LCD monitor if it continues long term??DAVE_YBBN

Why not use the regular Catalyst 6.8? They've been "optimized" for cards with 256MB vRAM. Whether that means ATI has inserted some surreptitious code into the driver remains to be proven. When you uninstalled the Omega drivers, did you run Driver Cleaner to remove all of the remnents of the former driver? That could be an issue in attempting to get the most from a driver.
