October 17, 200619 yr Hi,I am seriously considdering to step over to a Laptop instead of my Dell pc.In your opinion, what about Acer Ferrari or Lamborghini? Which one is the best for simming? Or if you have some other suggestions.Forget about FSX, since that is certainly not what I want to run today. But more a FS9 setup with all excellent addons. ;-)Maybe later on, lets say in 3 - 4 years, I will considder FSX, when a suitable system will eventually be available. :-)http://www.scandicair.com/images/sa_banner.gifFSX..:-hmmm...nah.. October 18, 200619 yr Hi,I got a decent deal from Ebay, a Fujitsu 3100 with a 2.8GHz desktop processor and 512MB of Ram, 40G HD and a decent resolution monitor for $400. It runs FS2004 with most stuff turned on quite fluidly.I was looking for a fast and cheap laptop replacement for my Sony VAIO. I found this one and so far, no problems. The bad thing is I have to clean the CPU cooler with a compressor every so often as it overheats and shuts down. Big whoop. Big bang for the buck I call it. Today's laptops in the stores are not up to snuff as they all have mobile processors and insufficient RAM. IMHO. If you look, Ebay has some really good deals.BTW, I'm looking forward to FSXIII too. dolph
October 18, 200619 yr I was going to give you a firsthand report of the framerates for FSX on this laptop, but, alas, I cannot afford to buy two copies of the sim. After waiting for the install, I can't do two installs from my IP address apparently so I will not be able to provide this input.dolph
