hi all,ill keep it short cause its probable a common question! just got fsx recently but found it runs alarmingly slow from the box,ive got dozens of large addons for fs9 and that still runs smooth at min 28fps most of the time.with almost all effects, scenery ect turned to min,im still only running around 4-10 fps?? is there some obvious frame eater on this version,or do i now need a super duper p.c :)p4-3.40 ghz1.75 g ramradeon x700 cardta

go here:-http://www.fox-fam.com/wordpress/?page_id=41http://www.tweakxp.com/performance_tweaks.aspxMatt has got half-a-dozen batch files which will convert most 1024 x 1024 textures to 512 x 512. There are a number of tweaks - which work very well - for the FSX.cfg file - just browse the FSX forum: Defrag makes a huge difference. On your system I would turn off all traffic, with water at the low settings, too. I think you could probably invest in a video card with 512 meg. On my system "MemStatus" reports system ram useage running at 1.3 gig (X, with FSX, ASv6 and Track IR4 running), with video memory useage at 275~ meg.Hope this helps.
