Audio problems when switching views or lowering flaps?

Featured Replies

Has anyone else had problems with audio in FSX when switching views? If I switch views, or lower flaps or landing gear, the audio "crashes" and becomes nothing but loud static. If I pause the simulation and restart everything goes back to normal. This is with my onboard audio controller, SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio, and the latest drivers from the mobo website.Neil

Hi Neil, not generally. A soundglitch every now and then, yes. Is this a permanent prob on your end? Is this the only anomaly? Are your hardware drivers upto date? Can you exclude IRQ-sharing, etc? Good luck and kind regards Jaap

Hi Neil,I'm having problems when lowering flaps and with ATC communication.Using either onboard sound, SoundMax Integrated Digital HD Audio and latest driver.I'm thinking on buying a new sound card, this really bothers me and "hurt" my ears.Bruno

Hi Bruno, maybe Soundmax needs to update their drivers? After all, FSX is relatively new and you and the OP have similar hardware. This is all I could find quickly: http://forms.analog.com/Form_Pages/soundMA...echSupport.htmlGood luck and kind regards Jaap

Jaap,I can reproduce this problem at will. It happens every time I switch views. I installed the latest drivers from ASUS before I posted about the issue and it still happens.I don't know what you mean by IRQ sharing.Neil
