Dell Inspiron E1705

Featured Replies

HiI am thinking of buying the Dell Inspiron E1705 laptop. Will this laptop be good for FSX? How about the Sony SZ Series VGN-SZ390 NotebookStelios

I have the Inspiron 9200 which was the predecessor to the new 1705, and I'm fairly satisfied with how it runs FSX. I keep the sliders at about 50% and the fps target at 29, and it stays at 29 most of the time with an occasional dip to about 20. Of course, you'd want to get either of the optional video cards, but I'm sure you planned on that in the first place. Both of the optional video cards are at least a notch up from the Mobility Radeon 9700 that mine came with. I doubt that you'd be able to push all the sliders to the right, though.
