Fate of Project Freeware

Recommended Posts

Guest

I've been away from flightimming for about 7 months after my computer went to the eternal scrap-pile. Right before I left, Project Freeware had returned. They always were my favorite group, but now I can't seem to find them anywhere. Did they fold again? Can anyone shed any light on this for me, as I would surely love to fly their stuff again. Thanks for any and all help.

The site was active until about a week ago, though it was seldom updated. Maybe they are revamping.

Hi Shawn,Some of the guys decided to go into retirement, such as myself and a few others. A few has decided to help some other groups with their projects either modeling or painting. We decided to make our files available once again until the server went down for some unknown reason recently. More than likely it will not be brought back online and the forum has been closed. The fate of the aircraft has not been determined. Sorry for the delay in replying. Brent

Brent,Any word on the fate of the Fokker F-27 Friendship that had been in the PF previews section for a long, long time? It looked like the definitive version of this aircraft, but I wasn't optimistic about it's ever becoming available.Just as an aside, the PF DC-9-30 has been one of my all-time favorites and it still has a valued place in my hangar -- far from obsolete.John
