January 11, 200323 yr I have installed FS2002 and when i load up the game i get an error message saying 'Scenery Read Error - Trying to read from non-existant directory' The game then comes on but without most of the textures. I remember getting around this problem when i last installed it about a year ago, but i had to actually manually install each file which took forever. Is there a patch which will install this software properly or does anyone know where i can get a list of what goes where?
January 12, 200323 yr Author Cut and paste your scenery.cfg in the fs2002 folder to a safe area on your hardrive. Restart fs2002 to see if it will rebuild a new scenery.cfg file. If so, and your error is gone, your set. If not, cut and paste the scenery.cfg file into your fs2002 folder.Open scenery.cfg file with Notepad or Wordpad and check each entry for odd scenery locations. Attached file is copy of default scenery.cfg file as a guide. Bill Sieffert
January 12, 200323 yr I managed to fix this problem late last night by limiting my memory when i installed the software.
