February 2, 200719 yr HiGot an issue with multiple graphic cards. My nvidia based pc has both motherboard based graphics and a pci express card. both support two monitors, so in theory I could run 4 monitors, though i've only currently got two. However I don't seem to be able to enable both at the same time. remove the pci express and the mother board video card jumps into life. put it back in and it's gone. I can't see anything in the bios that would account of it.lest you think i've gone mad, I want to use the two cards so I can spread the graphics load. I currently use a 17" tft for outside views and a 15" for instruments. a second card would, I hope allow me to run a second outside view without affecting frame ratesregards
February 2, 200719 yr I did a google search and found this link: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/s...p_multimon.mspxI know there are other flight simmers who probably can provide you with excellent advice but thought I would give you something to look at while you wait...Best regards,Jim
February 2, 200719 yr Hello,"I hope allow me to run a second outside view without affecting frame rates"On my "old" system , despite the 2 video cards there is a DROP of FPS as soon as I undock a window onto an other monitor. February 2, 200719 yr JimThanks for this. interesting ideas about using old laptops.I also recognise using two outside views affects framerates hence generally using the second monitor for instruments only. I've got a touchscreen cover for the smaller of my two monitors so ideally I'd have my radio and autopilot on the touch screen perhaps using a purpose build panel, mfd on the second screen and outside on the third.I'd use the magenta stuff, but its just too dear.perhaps I should go search the mb siteian
