In my experience, the first priority is getting 2 GB of memory. The next priority is processor speed. The Core2 Duo and Quads are the fastest you can get today. The next priority is the graphics card memory and speed. No matter what system you choose, you'll be happiest with 2GB of memory.I've installed FSX on everything from a $700 VS6100 Compaq laptop ($500 + $200 for 2 GB of memory - whatever I get for 2 250 MB sticks on ebay that had to be replaced), a 3 year old Dell D810 1.86 GHz Pentium M with 64 MB ATI X300 mobility graphics, a Toshiba P105 with T7200 and 7900 GS graphics, and an E6600 w/8800 GTS graphics. It runs tolerably on all machines. I tend to turn autogen off on the Compaq, but I've got decent settings on the rest (to the left on the Dell, to the right on the other two). The best choice for video cards today is the nVidia 8800. A single 8800 is faster than a dual SLI nVidia 7950 setup. If getting an 8800, make sure to have a big power supply. I have a 650W in the machine I just built and it is working fine. I'm no expert on power supplies, but my guess would be a minimum 500W power supply for a system with an 8800.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180
