February 23, 200719 yr For those who have it, does it work well for you? Can you use all the levers/functions OK? Can you use the TQ6 on aircraft with different engine configurations (e.g., dual jet, trijet, quad jet, default FS9, PMDG, Level-D, etc.) without reconfiguring and without difficulty?Any operating issues with this hardware ?I am thinking about getting one but wanted to check here as part of my "due diligence" on this product. I use quite a lot of GF hardware already and like them but want to be sure about the TQ6 in particular since it's a costly item.Appreciate any posts, thanks!JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.

However I had to send one back because one of the reverser switches didn't work. You do need to re-configure the TQ6 for different aircraft but you can save the profiles in the GF software. (Also you will need to swap levers if you're going from a 4-engine jet to a twin prop with mixture and feather - but this is very quick ) One thing you must do is make sure that all the axes you use on the TQ6 are disabled on your joystick .The TQ6 needs to be screwed down though, there's not enough weight in the box to counter the force required to push the levers..its no good free-standing (you have to use 2 hands). Alternatively you can screw it to a piece of plywood at least twice the dimensions of the base as this will then pprevent the unit from tipping as you push the levers.RegardsJim
February 23, 200719 yr Author Jim:Thanks for your reply. I have the GoFlight pedestal so I assume if I screwed the TQ6 into that, it should "hold" OK although I admit it is a lightweight pedestal. Now all I need is the $400 to buy it......JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
