March 7, 200719 yr I recently lost my computer due to what I belive to be, condensation in the computer. My question is this: is there anyway to conclude before replacing anything if it was the PSU or the MoBo that god done in?To help out, when it happened, I supplied it with power after sitting unpluged for a few days...when I went to turn it on using the power button on the case, nothing happened. Seconds later, a small pop noise and a faint smell all the while nothing happening with the computer as in anything powering up.I plan on replacing the PSU first but just wanted to see before I bought a new PSU if anyone could tell me if theres anyway to determine if its the PSU or MoBo before I bought a new PSU.
March 8, 200719 yr I've had a few PSU's go on me, and that's what happened every time. If the PSU fan ain't running, the PSU is dead.If the PSU fan is running, well, I don't know, I haven't had that happen to me yet. I've never lost a MB before.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180 Tom Perry
