How to save new configs in Vista?

Featured Replies

Hi,I tried changing a [Views] config in the aircraft config of FSX in Vista today. There was an eyepoint recommendation for the 172 on FSX Forum. However, I opened the cfg with Notepad as I did in XP, and made the changes to the config, but when I went to save it, I couldn't. Is there something I must do to allow changes to these files...because I want to change the Panel config on this plane too. The message comes up..."Cannot create the C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator XSim ObjectsAirplanesC172Aircraft.cfg file Make sure that the path and file name are correct. When I click OK, the "Save As" screen comes up with "Aircraft" highlighted in File Name line.I'm confused on this one. How do I save FSX config changes?
