Saitek Aviator

My old joystick died and I bought a Saitek AV8R-01. For the life of me I can't get the throttles to work. They are either wide open or closed. Have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I tried to find profiles for it with no luck. If anyone owns one I'd sure appreciate some help. Thanks in advance. Might not be of much help since I don't own this particular model, as I use a X52. I've never used any of the Saitek software for any of my last three Saitek joysticks. I do all settings in the flightsim control menu.

I have one of these, and the sensitivity setting affects the range of the throttles (on my setup, if you have the throttle sensitivity set to 50%, you can only get 0-50% power). The effect might vary, so maybe the sensitivity setting could cause it to only work wide open or closed. Also make sure that you have the throttle axis on the joystick assigned to the throttle axis in the sim.
