What's the latest driver for Nvidia 7950 GX2

Featured Replies

Is it still 93.71 (2 Nov, 2006) or 94.24 (31 May, 2007)? Somewhere I read use FX driver which is 93.71 with 7950 but then if I look at the 7-series drivers which presumably the 7950 is, 94.24 is the latest. Thanks in advance.KemoF15

Yes, 94.24 is the latest official nVidia driver that supports your video card. Having said that, mileage varies greatly between drivers on seemingly the same hardware. eg. I have been naffed off of late with major stutters in FSX with the LDS 767, not to mention a staggering 15-20 FPS flying over the ocean with few-no clouds. I had tried the 94.24 and a few earlier versions of and today I thought I'd give the Z-tweaked 158.19 drivers a go (the 1xx series drivers are supposed to be for the 8x00 series cards) and bugger me dead, so far (in 30 mins of testing) the stutters are no longer there and FPS in the open ocean is now 40-50 FPS.Having said that ;-), I have been disappointed many times in the past when trying something new to get FSX flightworthy, so don't get too excited that the driver I am currently trying will work wonders for you (it will probably annoy me with something else - like FS9 won't work any more:-lol).The bottom line is that YMMV definitely is a driving factor with video driver selection.Gary
