Slow Download Speeds

Hi All! I recently set up a wireless home network. My desktop is wired toi a new Linksys Wireless G Cable Gateway and my new laptop uses the wireless signal. Since I installed it last night, the laptop has been smoking my downloads at 1400k/b per sec, while my desktop has gone from 500 to under 200. Has anyone seen this problem before? I'm still using the same cable I used to, even after using the one that came with the new router. I'm really frustrated over this. Doesn't make sense to me.Anyone know how to correct this issue?

After downloading from pmdg at nearly 2mbps, I have narrowed it down to avsim and flight1.com. :(Hopefully there is just alot of traffic on the servers.
