Clothes-pin fixes Geforce 6600 LE

Recommended Posts

Guest cbuchner1

Today my Geforce 6800LE card which I use on a test PC suddenly started acting up. All corrupted graphics (even in text mode on the BIOS screen), as if some RAM chip was returning random data.Apparently some solder connection or something else on the PCB got loose and this problem was underneath the cooler assembly which covers RAM and GPU.I figured pinching the board with two fingers got rid of the graphics errors, so I attached a clothes-pin to the graphics card which exerts some pressure - and now FSX runs smooth again.Mac Guyver would have been proud of me. Clothes-pin for the win.
