October 20, 200718 yr Hi all,Sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum. Not really a hardware question, maybe. When I installed WinXP Pro on my computer, I choose to install the OS on the physical drive #1 (not #0). In WinXP the drive is assigned the drive letter E, which hasn't been any problem at all with any software, except Weather Maker RX and now the Weather Maker X. The installer for Weather Maker seems to be hardcoded to access a C: drive, and the Installer terminates with this error message.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/179065.jpgI've posted on the Weather Maker support forum regarding this error. But i don't expect any help there, because I posted on exactly the same issue when the installation of the RX demo failed, and didn't get any help.I don't expect the Weather Makers to correct this in the installer (for example using the Win API to determine the correct drive for Windows and User temporary folders and such). Is there anyway that I can go around this installer misbehaviour?Ulf B :-)With successful installations of add ons by Carenado, HiFi, Aersoft, Cloud9, Eaglesoft, 10 add ons from Fligt1, FSBuild, FSD, FSGenesis, FSUIPC, Georender, Godzone, MegaScenery, My Traffic X, Proflight PFE and more. But yet nothing at all from Weather Makers.
