October 21, 200718 yr Well, I finally got the new computer built and XP installed today. My full specs are in my signature. It was a chore getting the SATA divers installed on the floppy. It seems every other build I reverse the floppy cable and then have to fix that error. Then, for whatever reason, I couldn't put the floppy in the drive when I ran the Abit driver utility from CD. I had to wait until the menu said it was ready to accept the floppy disk, but never gave any indication of that or made any sound that would give me that clue. I also had to change the RAM voltage or the system would hang on reboots every now and then. All of that took longer than actually installing XP!Anyhow, all is up and going. It looks amazing and I've managed to get a lot more done than with previous builds - I think because it's so much faster and I slipstreamed XP with SP2 before installing. Not near as many updates that way, but still a bunch. Tomorrow I'll see if I can get it finished enough to install FS9 and maybe FSX. I want to make sure all is working okay and I'm done with all my non-FS installs first. Thanks for all the help on here the last couple months before when I had questions. Let you know how she performs in game soon! - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
