Frames Per Second

Hello, could you please tell me what graphics card you have, what your graphics settings are, where you are in fsx and state what fps you are getting. I need this info to compare your graphics card to mine as i dont think my 8800 ultra is working properly. Thanks in advance.

System: Quad @ 3.2gHz , 8800 UTX8800 Driver: Set to let the 3D app decideFSX: Set to AA checked , and Ansio filtering on, 1600x1200, using Vancouver + suggested settings.Test 1: Taking off on Rwy 36 at CYYC ... 40-60 fps on unlimited.Test 2: Taking off at Tokyo flying into downtown ... 15-25 fpsIts very hard to really compare as the driver and FSX has so many options to change and tweak, even zoom level, widescreen etc all can make a difference. From the systems I've built, the difference for FSX from a basic 8800GTS 320MB to a 8800Ultra is very little. CPU speed is a bigger factor but anything 2.4 and over gives a decent experience in FSX with any of the 8800 series cards. For value the new 8800GT looks like simple choice for new buyers.

Hi,Why not use a 3D benchmark program (have a look at guru3d.com or the site of your choice) and search the net for comparison data for 8800 Ultra cards. This will take out a lot of FSX settings from the equation.Ulf B
