DX10-Am I Doing Something Wrong?

Recommended Posts

Running Vista 32, w/ DX10 and Aero interface. Whenever I start FSX,(now with Acceleration), I get a message that Windows is changing to Window Vista Basic Color Scheme, and the Aero features don't function. In FSX, the DX10 Preview is checked. Is this correct??

Yes, that is correct. Aero would be fighting for the same resources that FSX was attempting to control. If you check the properties of FSX.exe under the Compatibility tab, when running Aero, "Disable desktop composition" should automatically be checked. Regards,Jim Karn
