December 14, 200718 yr Hi folksSomething has gone mad with keyboard input on my wife's XP laptop. She types very fast and often hits control codes or windows shortcuts etc, but normally i can see what's happened. Not this time though....All settings still show as 'UK English', and 'QWERTY' still types out from correct keys, but keys further to the right have changed to numbers! Please can anyone help - I just know it's gonna be something dead simple - i just can't find it. December 14, 200718 yr I think that she has activated the numeric keypad on the keyboard. On laptops there usually a function key, marked 'Fn', on right side of the keyboard, near the Ctrl and Alt key. Press that key and press some a key marked something like "Num".Ulf B Core2Duo X6800, 4GB RAM, BFG 8800GTXCreative SB X-Fi (Gamer mode)Vista 32, FSX Acc/SP2
December 14, 200718 yr Author Duh! Many thanks. What's more, it was 'stuck' down too. Too much coffee in the keyboard me thinks:-) Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)
