Question regarding 3rd party panels and hardware addons

I'm wondering if its just the setup, or the way developers are doing things now...Why are the normal MS commands not 'adhered' to in the design... I have tried several 3rd party panels where I seem to need to use the mouse to click on a switch to make it work, rather than use my PFC avionics unit...For example, I have the extra buttons on my avionics setup to toggle nav lights, pitot heat, beacon, landing/taxi lighting, panel lighting etc... but when I flip the switch on my avionics box, it just doesn't turn on the lights! Some panels it works some it doesn't... is it just my setup?Also heard from a friend that the Captainsim 727 will hardly work at all with his PFC setup because of the CS has it setup.. apparently you can't dial the ADF, can't dial the transponder, the HDG bug and course OBS will not work with it... Is there something I need to tweak somewhere??Chris
