Xbox360 Controller Problem in FSX

I have a problem that I cannot consistently duplicate with the Xbox360 controller. This has resulted in 2 crashes for me during the RTWR 2008 Race due to extreme uncommanded aileron inputs and a significant increase in the sensitivity of the elevator input. E.g. the aircraft will enter a wing-over to the left, I attempt to roll out of it, and then get a wing-over to the right.Also some keys are re-mapped when this happens.I did manage to notice that when everything is working correctly I will have 3 options under:Settings > Controls > Controller Type:Mouse YokeMouse LookXbox 360 ControllerWhen it is not working correctly I will have 4 options:Mouse YokeMouse LookXbox 360 ControllerXbox Controller for WindowsAnd in the past when seeing the above 4 options, if selecting Xbox 360 Controller and , then rechecking the selection I will always see: Xbox Controller for Windows (it will not stay on the Xbox 360 Controller).The Only solution that I have found when this occurs is to reboot the comp.Any help here would be much appreciated.Rob O.Edit: this is in Win XP Pro x64
