February 25, 200818 yr Did any of you think of or even tried it out, running FS9 on two physical drives. Scenery.cfg easily allows for configuring Scenery to be read on another drive, so would it be faster for loading and performance inflight to have two drives share the work, say between scenery loading (for example airports and mesh scenery) and rest (aircraft...). Simply offloading work to another drive.

For some reason FS9 didn't like them being located elsewhere. In FSX you can carry things even further, relocating 'sim objects'to anywhere you wish, along with addon scenery.I have created directories for "Aircaft", "AI Aircraft" , "MilitaryAI Aircraft" and "Addon Scenery 2" on different drives. February 27, 200818 yr I tried it coupld of last days: While I saw the benefit in speed while flying, I couldn't see any in loading. Only thing it was, popping textures, when loading in FS9 - much less and if had to be loaded, was much faster. I still didn't decide how to keep it...Only thing I fear is confusion in 3rd party programs. Like, Flight Environment, Ground Enviro, Ultimate Terrain... Will they know where to install if I wish to change some setting in them?! I don't think so.
